New builds & construction
First fix, second fix, switchboard, full lighting install, and certificate of electrical safety (CES) on completion. Shane works to your programme and won't be the reason your timeline slips.
Renovations & remodelling
Kitchen and bathroom rewiring, lighting upgrades, powerpoint additions, switchboard upgrades. Cable runs done properly — not the quick way — so the walls look right when the plasterer comes through.
Fault finding
Tripping circuits, flickering lights, safety switch issues, RCD testing. Shane diagnoses the actual problem, not just the symptom — and tells you what it'll cost to fix before touching anything.
Emergency call-outs
Power out? Storm damage? Burnt-out point of attachment? Call direct. Shane responds promptly and coordinates with AusNet where required for faults involving the mains connection.
Outdoor and undercover
Outdoor power, pergola and undercover area wiring, motorised awning supply, sensor lighting, garden and driveway lighting. If it's outside, it can be done.
Rural and underground
Underground cable runs for water pumps, irrigation systems, and shed supply. Acreage and lifestyle properties across the outer east, High Country, and Gippsland. If the trench is open, call before it's backfilled.

Shane has been doing residential electrical work across the Dandenong Ranges and outer east for 13 years. New builds, renovations, fault finding, and everything in between.
He started WAGS Electrical because he kept hearing the same question from people looking for a sparky they could actually trust. The name says it all. Based in Monbulk. Licensed and insured.

Yes. A certificate of electrical safety (CES) is issued on completion of all electrical work that requires one under Victorian legislation: including new installations, alterations, and repairs. The certificate is your legal record that the work has been carried out by a licensed electrician and meets the required safety standard. For landlords and property managers, this is the documentation you need for compliance and insurance purposes. Shane will let you know at the quoting stage whether a CES applies to your job.
Yes. WAGS Electrical travels to both the Mansfield/High Country region and to Gippsland for new builds, renovations, and rural electrical work. Travel is quoted upfront so there are no surprises on your invoice. Shane works to your project schedule for regional jobs.
Yes, owner-builder enquiries are welcome. Shane provides electrical services across both stages — first fix (wiring before plasterboard) and second fix (fittings, switches, and powerpoints after). A certificate of electrical safety is issued on completion, which is required for building permit sign-off in Victoria.

Yes. WAGS Electrical handles underground cable runs for rural and acreage properties — including supply to water pumps, irrigation systems, outbuildings, and sheds. A recent project in Leongatha involved 180 metres of underground cabling for an irrigation pump, coordinated with the groundworks contractor on site.
No. WAGS Electrical does not offer solar installation or solar-related services. For solar work, you will need a Clean Energy Council-accredited installer.
